Joint East Sussex Communications and Engagement Steering Group

Under the East Sussex Better Together programme, a group comprising of communications and engagement leads from the CCGs, East Sussex County Council, East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust and Healthwatch was formed to oversee and co-ordinate communications and Involvement activity, exploring opportunities for collaborative and aligned working.

This network is continuing to grow and adapt to the changing priorities of the NHS and membership is also being extended to Community and Voluntary Sector representatives and public representatives. The network meet bi-monthly and since April 2019 has considered:

  • Commissioning reform discussions
  • Winter planning
  • Collaborative working on health and wellbeing
  • Reviewing the outputs from the Our Health and Care, our FUTURE engagement exercise
  • The communications and involvement strategy in response to the localised Long Term Plan
  • Discussion about engagement in Primary Care Networks
  • The draft engagement model and governance
  • Drafting a single Adult Social Care and Health communications plan for activities and campaigns that cross over
